Week 9 Story: The Rat

Image
The Rat     A group of little elves was camping in the woods when a rat appears. The rat walked on two feet and could speak fluently. At first, the elves were beyond confused then the rat began to speak and told an eloquent story. He told the story of a group of four turtles who lived off pizza and would fight crime and evil. The rat said, “This was until one of the turtles had fallen in love with a human.” The elves were in awe because in this world it is inadequate to even think of falling for a human. The rat then began to unfold the rest of the story. He says that the human woman with whom one of the turtles had fallen in love had convinced him to stop eating pizza, which is the one thing he loves. He was the leader of the group and so the rest of his turtle friends followed and skipped out on eating too. They would each give their share of pineapple pepperoni and mushroom pizza to the woman. This continued and the turtles began to grow weak and this beginning to affect their crim

Week 8 Progress

Image
 1. I am very happy with my progress so far. I am really proud of how much better my writing has become. My weekly routine is decent, if I have extra time I try and get ahead for the week. The class assignments I enjoy the most would probably be these reflection posts. I have not used any extra credit but I also have not missed an assignment yet. 2. For the second half of the semester I cannot say I’d make any changed I have been managing to do really well so far. A few pitfalls I want to avoid are verb tense errors when writing I have been struggling with those. Something new I want to try in my writings and have started this week is adding more dialogue. I may want to try a new theme for my blog going forward but I am really liking how my site has turned out. 3.  Motivation to keep pushing/moving forward (Image information: Personal Image from Meme Collection)

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

Image
Week 8 Comments and Feedback   1. Feedback in .  The quality of feedback I have received this semester from other students is really great. Genuinely all of the comments have helped me in some way. Being able to apply even the smallest advice in my revisions have furthered my stories.   2. Feedback out .  The quality of feedback I have been leaving other students I would say has been great so far as well. The different techniques we have learned have been instrumental in leaving productive feedback. I have definitely been able to get some good ideas from other writings to apply to my own.   3. Blog comments .  Definitely have got a good sense of getting to know people from there intro blogs and the way they style their sites/blog. I was very happy with my introduction post and the feedback I received on it. 4. Looking forward .   Personally, looking forward I wouldn’t make any changes to the comment or introduction. One thing I need to do is go back through and reply to peoples comment

Week 8 Reading and Writing

Week 8 Reading and Writing Looking Back:          The reading and writing assignments so far are fairly easy and manageable. There are some times during the week where I have other stuff going on since I am in 19 hrs where writing stories on top of that is stressful. I am very happy with my blog and how my writing projects are going so far. One of the biggest accomplishments so far is becoming a better writer as each week goes by. My favorite reading so far definitely has to be Gambling Match which I wrote a story about.    Image: I chose the image below from one of my first stories. It was also the image I used on my first story post on my site and the most revised story of the semester. Looking Forward:     Something I want to do in order to get more out of this class is to try different writing styles. I feel like I need to branch out more in that regard. Week 7 Story: Mr. Finesse

Image
Mr. Finesse Chris was a common lowlife and drug dealer in his neighborhood. He wanted badly to be able to get out of the drug game and go clean. However, the man who runs his block told him if he were to leave he would kill him. They called this man Ghost because not a lot of people knew his true identity. Only Chris and a few other close associates knew of his true identity, which is why Chris could not just go to the police and snitch. Chris had been plotting all kinds of ways to get out of his situation. He contemplated murder but knew of the consequences he may face. Then, his best idea had surfaced as he remembered that Ghost was a big fan of gambling. Chris also remembered his Uncle was a big-time gambler and somewhat of a finesser out on the streets. He could finesse his way out of anything and he was known for it. They called him Mr. Finesse on the streets. It did not matter the circumstance, whatever challenge he was faced with Mr. Finesse like his name could finesse it. So C
